Hammer a shim gently between the floor and the toilet base to bring a low side up. Caulk the toilet to the floor if the problem is fixed. Place the carpenters level across the toilet bowl side to side and note where the bubble level is. Use a caulk gun to squeeze a bead of caulk around the base of the toilet where it meets the floor.

We are upgrading the bathroom and the floor ceramic tile over installed over plywood is out of level and the low spot is around the toilet. If adding washers or shims fixed the problem the only thing left to do is to caulk the toilet the the floor. I had thought of using floor leveler but i now don t think that will work. Although installing a toilet is an easy project an uneven floor can complicate matters.
